What is the ImprovHQ philosophy?
Improv is certainly fun, energizing and uplifting. It also has the potential to be deeply transformative. Laughter and fun during an interactive learning experience provides an opportunity for growth through new ways of thinking and being. We recognize this opportunity and approach it with purpose.
Psychological safety is #1.
The number one piece of feedback we receive from clients is that participants feel safe getting out of their comfort zone to explore new skills. We all want to feel supported when we try something new. This is something that we take extremely seriously.
Find a positive perspective.
Some of us have a negative attitude, especially in the midst of uncertainty. Participants gain a gentle awareness of their approach and through our facilitation have an opportunity to “try on” positivity to a new degree. Positivity is fuel for creativity, innovation and inclusion. Just like negativity, it’s contagious.
Diversity of thought is one of our greatest assets.
We explore the richness of diverse perspectives in playful ways. Our sessions create space to experience our diversity as one of our greatest strengths.

We met in the middle. Wearing the same blue sweater.
At our first ImprovHQ gig, we showed up wearing the same blue sweater and we’ve been rocking the same blue as a team ever since.
